Howland's loss ends three-game winning streak at home

Recap: Howland Tigers vs. Canfield Cardinals

The Howland Tigers lost against the Canfield Cardinals two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Howland fell 46-36 to Canfield. While losing is never fun, Howland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Canfield is ranked 54th).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Henry, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Perry, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.

Howland's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for Canfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Howland's homestand continues as they prepare to take on South Range at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Canfield, they will head out on the road to square off against Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
