Soccer Game Preview: Lightridge vs. Loudoun County

The Lightridge Bolts will head out to square off against the Loudoun County Captains at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lightridge's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lightridge is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Loudoun Valley on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Loudoun County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Briar Woods. With Loudoun County ahead 3-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Loudoun County pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four games. Lightridge's draw makes their record 1-1-1 this season.

Lightridge suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Loudoun County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Lightridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
