Baseball Recap: Holmdel Comes Up Short

Holmdel made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Shore Regional, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Holmdel now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Shore Regional, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Holmdel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Marlboro on the 27th. Shore Regional has also already played their next matchup (against Manasquan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
