Softball Recap: Holy Cross Victorious

Holy Cross took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Highlands, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bluebirds 5-3. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.

Holy Cross has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Highlands, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 28-7-1.

As of now, neither Holy Cross nor the Bluebirds have any future games scheduled.
