The Vanguard School had won four straight games and Lily Blanchard did her part to make it five on Friday. The Vanguard School Coursers blew past the Manitou Springs Mustangs 62-28 which was due in part to Blanchard, who posted 19 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Jordyn Christensen, who put up six points along with nine boards and six steals. She has become a key player for The Vanguard School: the team is 5-2 when she posts at least five steals, but 5-8 otherwise.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nora Bowie, who had five points and five rebounds. Those five points gave Bowie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Jorstad, who earned eight points.

The win got The Vanguard School back to even at 10-10. As for Manitou Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

The Vanguard School has already played their next match, a 50-46 victory against Ellicott on the 1st. As for Manitou Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-25 loss against Buena Vista on the 1st.
