Baseball Game Preview: Ravenna Ravens vs. Springfield Spartans

For the second straight game, Ravenna will face off against Springfield. The Ravens will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Considering Ravenna has lost five straight at home (dating back to last season) and Springfield three straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

On Monday, Ravenna came up short against Springfield and fell 10-6.

Logan Hysell put in work no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Sean Jordan made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Welling, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Springfield moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Ravenna, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
