Volleyball Recap: Air Academy Wins Going Away Against Severance + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Air Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Severance Silver Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Kadets as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Mae Magoon paced Air Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Magoon got some help from Audrey Husemann and her 16 assists. Magoon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aurelia Matzelle, each putting up three.

Air Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Severance, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Air Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against University on the 7th. Severance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
