Preview: Lee Academy Cavaliers vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions
The Lee Academy Cavaliers will head out on the road to square off against the Williamsburg Academy Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Last Tuesday, Lee Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past King's Academy 49-46.
Meanwhile, Williamsburg Academy pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 80-70 to Florence Christian.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Caleb Wright, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Conrad Balder was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Lee Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Williamsburg Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Lee Academy suffered a grim 58-33 defeat to Williamsburg Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Williamsburg Academy's Corey Burts, who scored 25 points.
