            Basketball Recap: Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers vs. South Laurel Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            Breckinridge County won the last time they faced South Laurel and things went their way  on Friday too. The Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers managed  a  52-48 win over the South Laurel Cardinals. The  victory was just business as usual for the Fighting Tigers, who after nine games remain undefeated  this season.

 Breckinridge County got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Elizabeth Grimes out in front who  went 9 of 18  on her way to 28  points. Grimes' afternoon made it eight games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayleigh Huffines, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds.
Breckinridge County's record is now 9-0. As for South Laurel,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
 Breckinridge County won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Franklin County  at 5:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Breckinridge County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7  points per game  this season. As for South Laurel, they will venture away from home to  take on Jackson County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
