Volleyball Recap: Avon Beats Andes Central/Dakota Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Avon had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Andes Central/Dakota Christian. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Rilyn Thury paced Avon's offense, picking up 12 kills. Thury got some help from Brielle Voigt and her 16 assists. Thury was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Avon's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-15.

Coincidentally, Avon and Andes Central/Dakota Christian will both be playing Corsica/Stickney the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Andes Central/Dakota Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
