Basketball Recap: Rosedale Christian Academy Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Zion Prep Academy, Rosedale Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Pikesville Panthers. Rosedale Christian Academy's victory was all the more impressive since the Panthers were averaging only 28.42 points allowed on the season.

Despite the loss, Pikesville still got an impressive performance from Mariah Jones-Bey, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine steals. Jones-Bey is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Qaidence David, who went 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and six rebounds.

Rosedale Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Pikesville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-2.

Coming up, Rosedale Christian Academy will challenge Wise at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pikesville, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Point at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
