Basketball Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 772nd, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 85th).

Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Notre Dame, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cameron will challenge Ritchie County at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to challenge Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
