Cushing's game on Friday was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They slipped by the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats 54-53. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 57-37 win back in January.

Mt. Enterprise's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaegan Ash, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 18 points and five boards. What's more, Ash also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tanner Wilburn, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points and three steals.

Cushing's victory bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Mt. Enterprise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-18.

Coming up, Cushing will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hawkins at 6:00 p.m. Hawkins will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Cushing surely won't give up without a fight. Mt. Enterprise does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
