Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Moore Hornets vs. Timber Creek Wolves

The Bishop Moore Hornets will head out to take on the Timber Creek Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Moore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Bishop Moore got the win against Oviedo by a conclusive 12-6. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Jason Forgey looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Nate Davis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Danny Garcia was another key player, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3.

Bishop Moore lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Timber Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Olympia 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bishop Moore's record is now 16-5. As for Timber Creek, their record now sits at 13-7.

Bishop Moore suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Timber Creek in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
