Mahomet-Seymour won the last time they faced Rantoul and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by  a  14-8 margin over the Eagles. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Ainsley Whitaker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Maddie Logsdon was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.  Madi White was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Mahomet-Seymour was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .394. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Mahomet-Seymour's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-5. As for Rantoul, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record  this season.
 Mahomet-Seymour will challenge Normal West at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Rantoul, they will venture away from home to  challenge St. Joseph-Ogden  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
