It was a good run, but Batavia unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Honeoye Falls-Lima Cougars 58-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Devils came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Cougars are ranked 610th).

Batavia's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they moved to 5-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
