Baseball Recap: Gregori Gets the Win

Gregori won the last time they faced Pitman and things went their way on Friday too. The Jaguars came out on top against the Pride by a score of 13-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Sebastian Joseph made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Gregori is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 10-12 otherwise. Joseph was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Leonico Histo was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Dustin McLain was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Gregori kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.8.

Gregori's record is now 12-13. As for Pitman, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7.

Gregori didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Downey on the 27th. As for Pitman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 defeat against Turlock on the 27th.
