Basketball Recap: Northview Comes Up Short

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Marist War Eagles and fell 84-37. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the War Eagles are ranked 104th).

Marist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jay Walsh, who went 7 for 12 en route to 17 points and six boards. Bobby Harpring was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Marist, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.

Northview has already played their next game, an 83-45 defeat against St. Pius X Catholic on the 7th. As for Marist, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-29 victory against Lithonia on the 7th.
