Football Game Preview: Westbrook Blue Blazes vs. Gorham Rams + How To Watch

The Westbrook Blue Blazes will square off against the Gorham Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Westbrook's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Gorham has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Westbrook is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Cheverus, who was ranked 16th at the time (Westbrook was ranked eighth). The Blue Blazes managed a 27-21 win over the Stags on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after only eight points in their last matchup, Gorham made sure to put some points up on the board against Biddeford on Friday. The Rams put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 36-12 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rams' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Gorham's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Westbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Westbrook was dealt a bruising 47-7 loss at the hands of Gorham in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Rams' Garrett Poulin, who threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground.
