After a string of seven wins, Wethersfield's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverdale Rams. The Flying Geese were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Wethersfield was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22.

Riverdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amarah Coleman, who had 14 assists and eight digs. Kamryn Kruger was another key player, getting 14 digs.

Wethersfield's loss dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Riverdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season.

Wethersfield will host Knoxville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverdale, they will challenge Sherrard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
