Basketball Recap: Conneaut Comes Up Short

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-34 loss at the hands of the Edgewood Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-60 back in January.

Conneaut's record now sits at 1-16. As for Edgewood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Conneaut and Edgewood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Conneaut (ranked 725th) will meet Grand Valley (ranked 326th) at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Edgewood will face off against Ursuline at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday down 636 places (670 vs. 34).
