Volleyball Recap: Kellenberg Memorial Starts off Right with Win over St. Francis Prep

Kellenberg Memorial had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the St. Francis Prep Terriers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was CJ Galanga, who had ten digs and two aces.

Galanga wasn't the only good server: Kellenberg Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Kellenberg Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against St. John the Baptist on the 31st. Hopefully St. Francis Prep payed attention to the Firebirds' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Firebirds at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th.
