Colonial is 8-2 against Timber Creek since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Colonial Grenadiers will face off against the Timber Creek Wolves. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Colonial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Winter Park by a score of 45-36. The victory was some much needed relief for the Grenadiers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Timber Creek had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They strolled past the Braves with points to spare, taking the game 63-47. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Braves are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Timber Creek is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Colonial, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.

Everything went Colonial's way against Timber Creek in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Colonial made off with a 57-35 victory. Will Colonial repeat their success, or does Timber Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
