Baseball Recap: Saugus Comes Up Short

Saugus fell victim to Gloucester and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Fishermen by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Sachems were not able to get on the board.

Saugus' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2. As for Gloucester, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saugus will venture away from home to challenge Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gloucester, they will face off against Swampscott at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
