Pleasant Plains is 9-1 against Auburn since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pleasant Plains Cardinals will face off against the Auburn Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Pleasant Plains will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Pleasant Plains strolled past Riverton with points to spare, taking the game 61-47.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Auburn had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 56-43 win over Greenville on Friday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Comets are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pleasant Plains' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points over those games. As for Auburn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 29-4.

Pleasant Plains beat Auburn 51-43 when the teams last played back in February. Will Pleasant Plains repeat their success, or does Auburn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
