Richland extended their winning streak  to six  on Friday, bumping their season record up to 19-1 in the process. They were the clear victors by  a  17-5 margin over the Chiawana Riverhawks. The Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Ali Evans made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Sophia Sams was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs and four  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted  over her last 11  matchups.  Jordan Brannon was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Richland  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chiawana only posted  an  OBP of  .385.
As for Chiawana, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 13-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss they have suffered  since March 29, 2024.
 On Chiawana's side,  Chase Wirt was cooking despite her team's loss,   going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Richland beat the Riverhawks by a score of  9-0 later that day.
