Volleyball Recap: Dobson Comes Up Short

Dobson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Mountain Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 5th.

The final score came out to 25-15, 14-25, 25-10, 25-15.

Red Mountain was led to victory by Rihanna Brooks and Ella Sullivan. Brooks had 36 assists and three digs, while Sullivan had 16 digs and two aces. Brooks is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Dobson's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Red Mountain, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dobson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Red Mountain, they will face off against Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
