It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Richardson can now relate to. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arlington Colts on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 on Thursday.

Barrett Herr was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Richardson got a good showing from Shayden Schirm-Moolman, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Schirm-Moolman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

Herr wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cason Cage, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
