Basketball Game Preview: Arroyo Knights vs. Rosemead Panthers

The Arroyo Knights will head out to challenge the Rosemead Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Arroyo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering South El Monte just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Eagles 38-34.

Meanwhile, Rosemead lost to Gabrielino at home by a 45-30 margin on Friday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rosemead's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-8. As for Arroyo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Arroyo was able to grind out a solid victory over Rosemead when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 49-41. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rosemead's Rhys Anderson, who posted 23 points.
