East Gaston has gone 8-2 against Forestview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, East Gaston made easy work of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy and carried off a 12-2 win. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly ten runs.
Jaiden Crouch was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Crouch was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, East Gaston got a massive performance out of Cameron Barnette, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave Barnette a new career-high. Zane Dodd also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Forestview was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Huss with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Jaguars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th.
Alex Nance and Henry Jarman did most of the damage at the plate: Nance scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Jarman scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Nance is becoming a predictor of Forestview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Pepper, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.
The win made it two in a row for East Gaston and bumps their season record up to 10-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Forestview, their record now sits at 6-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. East Gaston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Forestview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
East Gaston skirted past Forestview 16-15 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
