Basketball Recap: Dutchtown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northgate last Friday, Dutchtown came back down to earth. The Dutchtown Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 48-47 to the Newnan Cougars. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 40-30.

Despite the loss, Dutchtown still got an impressive performance from Kylah Hall, who posted 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Hall has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Li'Ara Stephenson was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Dutchtown's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Newnan, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Dutchtown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-25 win against Northgate on the 6th. As for Newnan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-45 victory against East Coweta on the 6th.
