Football Game Preview: Thousand Oaks Lancers vs. Rio Hondo Prep Kares + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Jordan Johnson and Noah Penunuri are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Thousand Oaks Lancers will be playing at home against the Rio Hondo Prep Kares at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Thousand Oaks sitting on three straight wins and Rio Hondo Prep on ten.

On Friday, Thousand Oaks didn't have too much trouble with Santa Barbara as they won 35-20. The Lancers pushed the score to 35-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dons cut but never quite recovered from.

A big part of Thousand Oaks' victory came down to the chemistry between Jackson Taylor and his top target Luke Sullivan. Taylor threw for 212 yards and three TDs while completing 84.2% of his passes while Sullivan picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Taylor a new career-high in rushing yards (47).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rio Hondo Prep). They blew past Santee 55-17 on Thursday. With the Kares ahead 42-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Thousand Oaks' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Rio Hondo Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
