Baseball Recap: Copper Basin Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Copper Basin faced off against Polk County on Friday. Copper Basin lost 17-2 to Polk County. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Copper Basin's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Polk County, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copper Basin will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts at 5:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Polk County, they will take on Tyner Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
