Baseball Recap: Warner Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Warner entered their tilt with Savanna on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

Memphis Swimmer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. Swimmer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Talon Longshore was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Ethan Glover was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Warner's victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1. As for Savanna, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
