Football Recap: Legacy School of Sport Sciences Comes Up Short

If Legacy School of Sport Sciences was riding high fresh off their 68-0 takedown of Frassati Catholic last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans were dealt a 68-40 loss at the hands of the St. Augustine Purple Knights on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 282nd in Texas, while the Purple Knights are ranked seventh in Louisiana).

Legacy School of Sport Sciences' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for St. Augustine, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Legacy School of Sport Sciences will venture away from home to take on Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Augustine, they will host Warren Easton at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Purple Knights will need to watch out since the Fighting Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
