Volleyball Recap: Argyle's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

If Argyle was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Granville on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scots fell 3-1 to the Fort Edward Flying Forts on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scots of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Argyle started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-14.

Ava Cormie paced Argyle's offense, picking up ten kills. Cormie got some help from Brooke Austin and her 15 assists. Finally, Celia Townsend kept Argyle's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Argyle's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Fort Edward, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Argyle will face off against Hadley Luzerne at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Edward, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Schuylerville on the 29th.
