Baseball Recap: Vassar Vulcans vs. Akron-Fairgrove Vikings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marlette, Vassar was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Akron-Fairgrove Vikings with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Vulcans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Dakota Jaynes made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Jaynes was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
