Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Lions vs. Willow Glen Rams

The Lincoln Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Willow Glen Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln will be strutting in after a win while Willow Glen will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, Lincoln made easy work of James Lick and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Willow Glen didn't have quite enough to beat Live Oak on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Willow Glen sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-11.

Willow Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Willow Glen when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
