Softball Recap: Fruitdale Comes Up Short

Fruitdale came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-4 to the Leroy Bears. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 11, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Annie Holland was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Fruitdale's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Leroy, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8.

Fruitdale will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarke County at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Leroy, they will face off against Millry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
