Baseball Recap: Trousdale County Comes Up Short

If Trousdale County was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Jackson County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Trousdale County came up short against the Macon County Tigers on Friday, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Trousdale County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Macon County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trousdale County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westmoreland at 6:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Macon County, they will venture away from home to face off against Loudon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
