Football Recap: Therrell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Therrell extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They took a blow against Carver, falling 51-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Therrell of the 42-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Carver, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.3 points over those games.

Gavin Hill was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and one score. Those 50 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Therrell will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hapeville Charter at 7:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Carver, they will welcome Lovett at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 8.3 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
