Softball Recap: Midland Christian's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Midland Christian had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the All S Saints a 4-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

All S' batters probably weren't too happy with Maddy Munoz, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Munoz has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyler Graham, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Annie Munoz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Midland Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for All S, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Midland Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saints: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
