Lila Simon put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in May of 2024 on Friday. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Jacksonville back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Simon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Simon and Pittsfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Quincy Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Simon had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their match back in April of 2024 4-0.
