Volleyball Recap: Irene/Wakonda Finds Home Court Redemption Against Marty Indian

There's no place like home for Irene/Wakonda, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Marty Indian Braves 3-0 on Thursday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Irene/Wakonda was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Irene/Wakonda found their leader in sophomore Ava George, who had five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for George.

Irene/Wakonda was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
