Basketball Recap: Eastview Extends Winning Streak to Six

Eastview won the last time they faced Shakopee and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eastview Lightning walked away with a 67-54 win over the Shakopee Sabers. Given the Lightning's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Sabers are ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Shakopee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

The timing is sure in Eastview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Rosemount has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
