Baseball Recap: Fayetteville Comes Up Short

If Fayetteville was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Moore County last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 19-13 to the Raiders on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Austin Quick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run and one double.

Fayetteville's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Moore County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Fayetteville will venture away from home to challenge Huntland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Moore County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 defeat against Richland on the 4th.
