Recap: Poly Parrots vs. Grant Lancers
The Poly Parrots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 69-62 to Grant. Poly has struggled against Grant recently, as their match on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Poly still got an impressive performance from JD Wyatt, who scored 27 points. The contest was Wyatt's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jao Libunao , who scored 15 points.
It was another big night for WILLIAM OVERTON, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds for Grant. OVERTON is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Omree Bentov, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Poly bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Grant, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing North Hollywood the next time they take the court. Grant will head out to face North Hollywood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Poly will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
