Volleyball Recap: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains
Old Fort won the last time they faced Hopewell-Loudon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Stockaders came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stockaders.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 20-25, 25-9.
Leading Old Fort to victory were Lucy King and Carly Fortney. King had nine digs and three aces, while Fortney had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most aces King has posted since back in September of 2024.
They weren't the only good server: Old Fort was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.
