Summit Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Peninsula Catholic Knights a 2-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lydia Brooks and Bella Ashworth scored both of Summit Christian Academy's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Christian Academy will challenge Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Peninsula Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 11th. This will be Peninsula Catholic's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
