The East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 51-22 win over Imagine Prep on the road. With East Valley Athletes for Christ ahead 31-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Imagine Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Berkeley Lowden, who scored 8 points, and Jaiona Allen who scored 8 points.
East Valley Athletes for Christ's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Imagine Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Valley Athletes for Christ will take on AZ Compass Prep National at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Imagine Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Glenview College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
